DO YOU THINK THE TIME FOR TALK ABOUT HEALTHCARE IS OVER?

President Obama says the time for talk is over. He assures us we can keep our current health plan if we like it, with no apparent consideration for how the current insurance companies will survive once Congress imposes its regulations on employer-provided insurance. More than half of those with employer-provided insurance will lose it, 83.4 million Americans, according to The Lewin Group, a prominent, politically neutral health-care analysis firm.

Obama can't answer questions about his plan because he doesn’t know what’s in the bill.

He just knows he wants to ram it down our throats before Congress gets an earful from the American people when they're home on break.

How does ObamaCare plan to cover millions of illegals already here, and those that continue to pour into our country, with no additional doctors, nurses or hospitals? What else but ration care, long lines, long waits and lots of people dying waiting for the care they previously took for granted in what used to be the best healthcare system in the world.

Does anyone expect Congress or any of the Obama family to use this healthcare plan? Or do we all know they will have their own special healthcare, far superior to what they are forcing on us.
And what will become of all the people from all over the world who previously came to the USA for the most excellent care in the world? I guess they will have to go to Cuba with Michael Moore ..

DO YOU CARE IF HEALTH CARE IS RATIONED FOR SENIORS?

Are you aware of the rationing of health care for seniors that was slipped into the stimulus bill? Do you wonder why you've heard very little or nothing about it? And why it's included in this so-called stimulus bill. Maybe you're young and it won't affect you, but how do you feel about the effect it will have on your parents or grandparents. I was hoping to live to a ripe old age, but feel that is a lot less likely if Pelosi and Congress have their way.

See below excerpts published Feb. 9 in the Bloomberg Press, Ruin Your Health With the Obama Stimulus Plan: Betsy McCaughey, Commentary by Betsy McCaughey, former lieutenant governor of New York and an adjunct senior fellow at the Hudson Institute.

"One new bureaucracy, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective. The goal is to reduce costs and “guide” your doctor’s decisions (442, 446).

These provisions in the stimulus bill are virtually identical to what Daschle prescribed in his 2008 book, “Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis.” According to Daschle, doctors have to give up autonomy and “learn to operate less like solo practitioners.”

"Hospitals and doctors that are not “meaningful users” of the new system will face penalties. “Meaningful user” isn’t defined in the bill. That will be left to the HHS secretary, who will be empowered to impose “more stringent measures of meaningful use over time” (511, 518, 540-541)"

"What penalties will deter your doctor from going beyond the electronically delivered protocols when your condition is atypical or you need an experimental treatment? The vagueness is intentional. In his book, Daschle proposed an appointed body with vast powers to make the “tough” decisions elected politicians won’t make." "The stimulus bill does that, and calls it the Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research (190-192). The goal, Daschle’s book explained, is to slow the development and use of new medications and technologies because they are driving up costs. He praises Europeans for being more willing to accept “hopeless diagnoses” and “forgo experimental treatments,” and he chastises Americans for expecting too much from the health-care system."

"Daschle says health-care reform “will not be pain free.” Seniors should be m ore accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them. That means the elderly will bear the brunt. Medicare now pays for treatments deemed safe and effective. The stimulus bill would change that and apply a cost- effectiveness standard set by the Federal Council (464). "

"The Federal Council is modeled after a U.K. board discussed in Daschle’s book. This board approves or rejects treatments using a formula that divides the cost of the treatment by the number of years the patient is likely to benefit. Treatments for younger patients are more often approved than treatments for diseases that affect the elderly, such as osteoporosis."

You can read the whole article here. Bloomberg

Let's not forget, last week ago Nancy Pelosi defended giving hundreds of millions of dollars to family planning services as part of the stimulus package. Basically, fewer children reduces the cost to the state.

But I'm pretty sure we'll be giving illegals access to free nationalized health care.

TRYING TO BE POSITIVE, BUT CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER

I'm trying to be positive. I haven’t blogged since the day Barack Obama was elected to be our next President. I wanted to give him a chance. As our President, he deserves the respect of the office.

I did wonder who would be our president, Obama or Pelosi. I also wonder how he can claim there are no earmarks in the so-called stimulus bill. I wonder what he plans to do with the Gitmo detainees (terrorists) after he closes Gitmo. I wonder how he plans to get information from Bin Laden and his buddies and where he will put them. I notice Pelosi wants no part of them at Alcatraz. If we are about to be nuked and my children are in harm’s way, President Obama, please waterboard the terrorists! I wonder if Presidents Obama/Pelosi/Reid will wage a war against the people who want to kill us, or just discuss what to call it now that there is no longer a “war on terror”. If we are attacked again because of the naiveté and foolishness of President Obama and the Congress, say goodbye to President Obama and the rest of the Democrats for a very long time. I hope and pray that will not be the case.

I wonder if the so-called Fairness Doctrine will be passed, with the result being the end of free speech.

I still wonder. Do you?

SAY GOODBYE!

I fear for our country if Barack Obama is elected and rules our beloved country along with Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barney Frank, Chuck Schumer, Chris Dodd, Charlie Rangel, the list goes on. I don't want to even think about Obama's cabinet.

Say goodbye to free speech when the Fairness Doctrine is passed. Say goodbye to our health care system when millions of illegal aliens get in front of Americans who need urgent care because there aren't enough doctors and nurses to go around.

Say goodbye to our economy when taxes go through the roof and all incentive for excellence and hard work is gone. Will business owners have to lay off employees? Will those who used to be rich stop going to spas, fancy restaurants, expensive vacations? No more yachts, luxury cars, landscapers, handymen, office staff, cleaning crew? Where will that leave the rest of us?

Say goodbye to our constitution when Obama gets his hands on our Supreme Court.

Say goodbye to America when Obama cuts our military and defense, as he has promised.

WAKE UP AMERICA before it's too late.

COULD THERE BE A DOUBLE STANDARD?

Are the same people who have been in an uproar about losing our rights because of FISA, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, also known as the Patriot Act, the same people who are fine with Joe the Plumber being investigated for asking a question of Barack Obama?

We need to give rights to the terrorists who want to kill us, but anyone who asks a question of Barack Obama is subject to intense scrutiny and invasion of privacy. I don’t know of any innocent citizen whose privacy was invaded through the FISA act, but I do know Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, also known as “Joe the Plumber”, has been ridiculed, mocked, and every aspect of his life and business has been examined in the search for anything to use against him for the benefit of Barack Obama.

Sort of reminds me of what has been done to Sarah Palin.

Meanwhile, no exhaustive study has been done of Obama’s past, and many of his records remain undisclosed to date. When will Obama’s records be released? His record in the Illinois State Senate, where he voted “Present” over 100 times? His Columbia transcripts? His underperforming record at the Harvard Law Review? As Matthew Franck has pointed out in National Review Online, “A search of the HeinOnline database of law journals turns up exactly nothing credited to Obama in any law review anywhere at any time.”

In “Dreams of my Father,” Obama wrote that while in high school getting stoned from 1975 to 1979, he was hanging out with and being groomed by an admitted member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA), Frank Marshall Davis. Obama talks about advice he received from “Frank and his old Black Power dashiki self” prior to leaving for Occidental College in 1979 when he was 18 years old. The following year at Occidental College he was careful to vet his friends. “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.”

I’m guessing Obama’s past will finally be examined in detail, probably some time between November 5 and never.

Meanwhile teams of investigators are searching through Alaska and Ohio to defame Palin and Wurzelbacher.

As reported Friday, October 24, 2008, By Randy Ludlow, The Columbus Dispatch
Government computers used to find information on Joe the Plumber, Investigators trying to determine whether access was illegal
“Public records requested by The Dispatch disclose that information on Wurzelbacher's driver's license or his sport-utility vehicle was pulled from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles database three times shortly after the debate.
Information on Wurzelbacher was accessed by accounts assigned to the office of Ohio Attorney General Nancy H. Rogers, the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency and the Toledo Police Department.
It has not been determined who checked on Wurzelbacher, or why. Direct access to driver's license and vehicle registration information from BMV computers is restricted to legitimate law enforcement and government business.
Paul Lindsay, Ohio spokesman for the McCain campaign, attempted to portray the inquiries as politically motivated. "It's outrageous to see how quickly Barack Obama's allies would abuse government power in an attempt to smear a private citizen who dared to ask a legitimate question," he said.”

Could there be a double standard? You be the judge..

CAN WE ACHIEVE PEACE THROUGH WEAKNESS?

When Bob Schieffer questioned both candidates at the last debate, I was waiting to hear the responses. McCain was quick to answer with specifics. Obama said he would go through the federal budget line by line, but refused to give one item he would cut. That would mean we have to look at what he has said in the past, which he seems to prefer we don't discover before November 4.

Now Barney Frank, Democratic chair of the House Financial Services Committee, is basically saying the same thing, as reported in southcoasttoday.com By Steve Urbon, Standard-Times senior correspondent, October 24, 2008 6:00 AM http://www.southcoasttoday.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081024/NEWS/810240332/-1/NEWS10

“In a meeting with the editorial board of The Standard-Times, Rep. Frank, D-Mass., also called for a 25 percent cut in military spending, saying the Pentagon has to start choosing from its many weapons programs, and that upper-income taxpayers are going to see an increase in what they are asked to pay.”
"I was teasing (U.S. Rep.) Jack Murtha (a key supporter of military budgets) and I said to him, 'For the first time, somebody else has got a bill that's almost as big as yours.' We don't need all these fancy new weapons. I think there needs to be additional review."

In the history of the world, has peace through weakness ever brought about peace? I didn’t think so.

IS IT OVER?

Is there still any reason to vote? The media has selected Barack Obama to be our next President. Who knows or cares who has donated to his campaign? How much foreign money? Will we ever know? Who cares about Obama’s past connections and poor judgment? Who cares about voter fraud? Does the Supreme Court? Will we be fooled by the media and Democratic spinmeisters into thinking it really is over? Will we let our country be taken over by the Far Left, or will we stand up and make our voices heard with our vote!

We’re hearing it will be a landslide victory for Obama. He is buying up air time, which he doesn’t really need to do because all the TV and print media are behind him, excluding Fox which is shunned by the Liberals because they dare to present both sides. The country will watch Obama’s half-hour infomercial on Fox before the World Series begins, but will we still know more about Joe the Plumber’s life than we know about Obama’s life.

Will we still know more about Sarah Palin’s baby than we know about Obama’s past relationships with nefarious characters? We have heard a lot and seem to have dismissed the hateful, bigoted words of Reverend Wright. The words Obama claims never to have heard in 20 years in his church! How much have we heard about Bill Ayers, the domestic terrorist Obama identified as just someone in his neighborhood? The same man whose tape we are just now hearing in which he calls himself an anarchist and Marxist in 2002. 2002! He and Obama were working together at that same time. Don’t you wonder why Ayers chose Obama to dole out millions of dollars in grant funds? Don’t you wonder why Obama distributed the funds to ACORN and other radical groups rather than directly to schools? Don't you wonder why Obama wrote a blurb for Ayers' book?

Does the country truly comprehend the impact if the entire government is controlled by the radical far left, not only Obama but also Nancy Pelosi, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Harry Reid and their cohorts? Remind me again of the approval ratings of Pelosi’s incompetent Congress. Remind me why the mainstream media ignored the connection between Chris Dodd and Barney Frank to our current economic crisis, those same men who will continue to chair the Senate Banking Committee and House Financial Services Committee. The country is clamoring for change, but happy to have these same people who have driven our economy into the ground be the agents for change. UNBELIEVABLE!

Will free speech be dead after the Democrats are in complete control of the country and shut down Conservative talk radio with the so-called Fairness Doctrine?

Is it really over, or will enough of the American people stand up and fight for the country we love?

WHAT WOULD AN OBAMA PRESIDENCY LOOK LIKE?

Do you notice Obama is busy disassociating himself from his cronies, Rev. Wright, Acorn, Bill Ayers, Father Fleigher now that the presidency is within his grasp? But will they resurface once he is anointed King of the World, oh sorry, I mean President?

Who will Obama select for his Cabinet?

Who will Obama appoint to the Supreme Court?

Will he be able to make a decision? Or just vote Present and hope someone else figures out what to do? Or take a position and change it the next day?

How will Obama govern, along with Liberals Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and Charlie Rangel? Have ANY them EVER reached across the aisle and worked with Republicans? Can we expect them to now, especially with complete control of all branches of government?

Obama said in 2007 that Acorn and his community organizer friends will shape his presidential agenda.

“Community organizers” sounds benign, so perhaps we shouldn’t worry if they are involved in forming Obama’s agenda. Obama's political friend William Ayers, the unrepentant bomber, desires to remake the curriculum of public schools in order to turn students into radical socialists like himself. On September 27, 2007 Obama introduced a bill in the U.S. Senate called "Positive Behavior for Effective Schools Act," which would implement Ayers' social-outcome beliefs. No problem, we can all start planning to home school our children.

Community organizers also intimidate banks into making high-risk loans to customers with poor credit. Too late, we already see where that has lead us.

DOES THE TRUTH MATTER?

Do the facts matter? Does anyone care about the truth? The media has selected Barack Obama to be our president, and that’s all we need to know. No matter what he does, says, or did in the past, it will be covered up by the media. They might allow one tiny mention, but quickly gloss over it. Anyone who criticizes or points out the truth will be labeled a racist.

We’re not allowed to mention Obama’s middle name. We’re not allowed to mention Rev. Wright. Ayers was just a “neighbor”. Obama didn’t know what Wright was saying for 20 years. He didn’t know what Ayers did in the past and what he said in 2001. We can't mention Obama's poor judgment in choosing mentors, pastors and business associates. We shouldn't notice his lack of executive experience or naivete in defense and foreign policy.

Although it has been reported that Obama paid ACORN, which has endorsed him for president, $800,000 to register new voters, Obama downplays his ties to ACORN, and his campaign denies coordinating with ACORN to register voters. The same ACORN that is being investigated for voter fraud in several states across the country.

Have you noticed Obama’s supporters follow him in a cultlike trance, with no clue about him, his accomplishments or his background? I have heard many people being interviewed who seem to barely have a third grade education. They have no idea who are the leaders of our country. They don't seem to know anything, but but they do know they are voting for Obama. When asked why, the answer is always "we need a change". It doesn’t seem to matter what kind of change. Good or bad.

Only a racist wouldn’t vote for Obama. He is the Messiah, the Savior, the Chosen One.

For some unknown and irrational reason, Obama seems to be benefiting from the economic crisis. In 2006 McCain warned about the trouble coming with Fannie and Freddie. See the article copied below and McCain letter published by Human Events on 10/10/08. It shows that McCain knew there was trouble with Fannie and Freddie and tried to take action to protect the American taxpayer. What did the Democrats do? Deny there was a problem.

“McCain Letter Demanded 2006 Action on Fannie and Freddie
by Human Events
10/10/2008
“Sen. John McCain's 2006 demand for regulatory action on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac could have prevented current financial crisis, as HUMAN EVENTS learned from the letter shown in full text below.McCain's letter -- signed by nineteen other senators -- said that it was "...vitally important that Congress take the necessary steps to ensure that [Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac]...operate in a safe and sound manner.[and]..More importantly, Congress must ensure that the American taxpayer is protected in the event that either...should fail."Sen. Obama did not sign the letter, nor did any other Democrat.
See a copy of the letter below.”

WERE YOU HOPING FOR A QUESTION THAT WOULD REVEAL THEIR CHARACTER OR JUDGMENT?

What did you think of the debate? Was it one of the most boring ever? Was it really a Town Hall format? If so, why did Tom Brokaw completely control the questions that were asked? Do you wonder if any of the many thousands of questions Brokaw received and poured through from around the country included any questions about the Obama/Ayers relationship, or Obama’s relationships with Rev. Wright, Tony Rezko or Father Fleigher? Did you notice there were many questions about policy, which we’ve heard them discuss more times than we can count?

Were you hoping for a question that would reveal their character or judgment? I was!

Don’t you wonder why Ayers chose Obama to dole out millions of dollars in grant funds? Don’t you wonder why Obama distributed the funds to ACORN and other radical groups, rather than have the funds go directly to schools, improve test scores, school vouchers, or charter schools. All the media and Democrats complain that any mention of the acquaintance between neighbors Obama and Ayers is guilt by association, but this is much closer than just neighbors, AND THIS WAS LONG AFTER THE DAYS WHEN OBAMA WAS 8 YEARS OLD!

I think we need to learn more about Obama’s relationships before we elect him to be our President and Commander-in-Chief.

Obama’s Chicago connections include his chief financial supporter, Tony Rezko who helped him buy a house for $300,000 less than he otherwise would have had to pay. Rezko is now on his way to federal prison.

We have heard a lot and seem to have dismissed the hateful, bigoted words of Reverend Wright. The words Obama claims never to have heard in 20 years in his church!

How much have we heard about Obama’s “neighbor’ Bill Ayers?

Dick Morris notes in “The Obama-Ayers Connection” published in TheHill.com October 7, 2008:
“So let’s sum up Obama’s Chicago connections. His chief financial supporter was Tony Rezko, now on his way to federal prison. His spiritual adviser and mentor was the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, of “God damn America” fame. And the guy who got him his only administrative job and put him in charge of doling out $50 million is William Ayers, a terrorist who was a domestic Osama bin Laden in his youth.
Even apart from the details of the Obama/Ayers connection, two key points emerge:
a) Obama lied and misled the American people in his description of his relationship with Ayers as casual and arm’s-length; and
b) Obama was consciously guided by Ayers’s radical philosophy, rooted in the teachings of leftist Saul Alinksy, in his distribution of CAC grant funds.
Since Obama is asking us to let him direct education spending by the federal government and wants us to trust his veracity, these are difficulties he will have to explain in order to get the votes to win.”

You might be disgusted and horrified to read how the Weathermen affected the life of John Murtagh, copied below. Ayers remains unrepentant, only sorry he “didn’t do more”.

http://www.city-journal.org/2008/eon0430jm.html
John M. Murtagh
Fire in the Night
The Weathermen tried to kill my family.
30 April 2008
During the April 16 debate between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, moderator George Stephanopoulos brought up “a gentleman named William Ayers,” who “was part of the Weather Underground in the 1970s. They bombed the Pentagon, the Capitol, and other buildings. He’s never apologized for that.” Stephanopoulos then asked Obama to explain his relationship with Ayers. Obama’s answer: “The notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was eight years old, somehow reflects on me and my values, doesn’t make much sense, George.” Obama was indeed only eight in early 1970. I was only nine then, the year Ayers’s Weathermen tried to murder me.
In February 1970, my father, a New York State Supreme Court justice, was presiding over the trial of the so-called “Panther 21,” members of the Black Panther Party indicted in a plot to bomb New York landmarks and department stores. Early on the morning of February 21, as my family slept, three gasoline-filled firebombs exploded at our home on the northern tip of Manhattan, two at the front door and the third tucked neatly under the gas tank of the family car. (Today, of course, we’d call that a car bomb.) A neighbor heard the first two blasts and, with the remains of a snowman I had built a few days earlier, managed to douse the flames beneath the car. That was an act whose courage I fully appreciated only as an adult, an act that doubtless saved multiple lives that night.
I still recall, as though it were a dream, thinking that someone was lifting and dropping my bed as the explosions jolted me awake, and I remember my mother’s pulling me from the tangle of sheets and running to the kitchen where my father stood. Through the large windows overlooking the yard, all we could see was the bright glow of flames below. We didn’t leave our burning house for fear of who might be waiting outside. The same night, bombs were thrown at a police car in Manhattan and two military recruiting stations in Brooklyn. Sunlight, the next morning, revealed three sentences of blood-red graffiti on our sidewalk: FREE THE PANTHER 21; THE VIET CONG HAVE WON; KILL THE PIGS.
For the next 18 months, I went to school in an unmarked police car. My mother, a schoolteacher, had plainclothes detectives waiting in the faculty lounge all day. My brother saved a few bucks because he didn’t have to rent a limo for the senior prom: the NYPD did the driving. We all made the best of the odd new life that had been thrust upon us, but for years, the sound of a fire truck’s siren made my stomach knot and my heart race. In many ways, the enormity of the attempt to kill my entire family didn’t fully hit me until years later, when, a father myself, I was tucking my own nine-year-old John Murtagh into bed.
Though no one was ever caught or tried for the attempt on my family’s life, there was never any doubt who was behind it. Only a few weeks after the attack, the New York contingent of the Weathermen blew themselves up making more bombs in a Greenwich Village townhouse. The same cell had bombed my house, writes Ron Jacobs in The Way the Wind Blew: A History of the Weather Underground. And in late November that year, a letter to the Associated Press signed by Bernardine Dohrn, Ayers’s wife, promised more bombings.
As the association between Obama and Ayers came to light, it would have helped the senator a little if his friend had at least shown some remorse. But listen to Ayers interviewed in the New York Times on September 11, 2001, of all days: “I don’t regret setting bombs. I feel we didn’t do enough.” Translation: “We meant to kill that judge and his family, not just damage the porch.” When asked by the Times if he would do it all again, Ayers responded: “I don’t want to discount the possibility.”
Though never a supporter of Obama, I admired him for a time for his ability to engage our imaginations, and especially for his ability to inspire the young once again to embrace the political system. Yet his myopia in the last few months has cast a new light on his “politics of change.” Nobody should hold the junior senator from Illinois responsible for his friends’ and supporters’ violent terrorist acts. But it is fair to hold him responsible for a startling lack of judgment in his choice of mentors, associates, and friends, and for showing a callous disregard for the lives they damaged and the hatred they have demonstrated for this country. It is fair, too, to ask what those choices say about Obama’s own beliefs, his philosophy, and the direction he would take our nation.
At the conclusion of his 2001 Times interview, Ayers said of his upbringing and subsequent radicalization: “I was a child of privilege and I woke up to a world on fire.”
Funny thing, Bill: one night, so did I.
John M. Murtagh is a practicing attorney, an adjunct professor of public policy at the Fordham University College of Liberal Studies, and a member of the city council in Yonkers, New York, where he resides with his wife and two sons.”

WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY?

Is this what the framers intended?

As Sarah Palin questioned, will we one day ask: Do you remember when we used to be a free country?

Do you remember the days before political correctness stifled free speech and we would have been able to call our enemies radical Islamic terrorists?

Do you remember the days before Hollywood movies and MTV glorified violence and spewed filth in the name of “art”?

Do you remember the days before journalism died?

Do you remember the days when the voters could elect whomever they chose without being called “racists” because they didn’t vote for an unqualified African American?

We are evolving into an “anything goes” culture. The Left seems to believe there are no moral absolutes. If it feels good do it. Marriage is no longer identified as between one man and one woman. It’s acceptable to kill our unborn children in the name of women’s rights.

Voter fraud may well go unpunished and may well give the presidency to Barack Obama, especially if ACORN has its way.

I fear the radical far left will soon be running all branches of our Government, with no checks and balances.

Al Franken, Democratic candidate for US Senator from Minnesota, mentioned we should probably take “In God We Trust” off our coins and “Under God” out of the pledge. He laughingly said he didn’t really care.

An untested, inexperienced, junior senator may soon be elected President. A man whose foreign policy appears to be based on peace through weakness, with appeasement replacing strength.

Is it too late? I hope not ..

WAS IT GOOD FOR YOU?

WOW! What a great night! Palin was genuine, self-confident and plain-spoken. She was upbeat and projected energy and passion. She demonstrated her leadership, executive experience and results. Biden appeared knowledgeable, but plodding and boring. The more the evening progressed, the faster Biden talked and the more panicky he looked to me. He was expecting this to be a cakewalk. He was looking forward to debating a moron, and all of a sudden he realized she had taken control of the debate. She spoke about limited government, lower taxes, cutting spending, energy independence, and national and economy security. She said of his intentions on Iraq, "Your plan is a white flag of surrender." She reminded Biden that he himself said that he'd be privileged to run on a ticket with John McCain.

Palin noted that McCain was instrumental in bringing together Democrats and Republicans to pass the bailout bill in the Senate. She took a shot at Obama for campaigning during the crisis, saying McCain “put politics aside and put America first”.

Biden, continued to deny that Obama had ever pledged to meet with Iran’s Ahmadinejad without preconditions. “This is simply not true about Barack Obama,”, pointing out that Ahmadinejad “does not control the security apparatus” in Iran. However, in a Democratic debate on July 23, 2007, Obama was asked whether he would be “willing to meet separately, without precondition, during the first year of your administration, in Washington or anywhere else, with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea, in order to bridge the gap that divides our countries?” Obama answered, “I would.”

Palin sharply criticized Obama for saying last year that U.S. troops in Afghanistan are "just air raiding villages and killing civilians." Why do we never hear this quote in the mainstream media? Could it be because Obama’s troop-bashing comment is unacceptable from the Commander in Chief of our country.

I was delighted to hear Palin’s response when Biden once again attempted to tie McCain to Bush. “Say it ain't so, Joe, there you go again pointing backward. Now, doggone it, let's look ahead and tell Americans what we have to plan to do for them in the future.'' Folksy talk, but appealing to those of us who are sick of hearing about the past and want to hear where the candidates want to take us in the future.

It is worth nothing that Gwen Ifill was a complete professional. I was concerned because she has written a book favoring Obama, but whatever her personal feelings or bias, it was not on display. I wish that were true of the rest of the media who generally act like prosecutors and vultures rather than journalists.

The media and Democrats of course will tell us that Biden won the debate, with ample contempt and derision of Palin. I can’t wait to see Saturday Night Live find a way to ridicule Palin.

It was clear Palin was happy and energized to have the opportunity to speak directly to the American people without going through the hostile filter of the media. When Governor Sarah Palin speaks directly to the American people, she hits it out of the park!

SHOULD BARNEY FRANK RESIGN?

If you didn’t see the video of Bill O’Reilly’s interview with Barney Frank regarding Frank’s roll in the economic meltdown, don’t miss it here.

First note Barney Frank’s comments in July 2008:

Now here we have O’Reilly at his best, or worst, depending on your perspective!

HOW CAN IT BE THAT THESE PEOPLE WILL LEAD OUR COUNTRY?

I can’t understand how the polls are showing that Obama is benefiting from the economic meltdown. I seem to have been in the minority when I declared McCain the winner of the first debate, not counting aol and drudgereport polls.

I don’t pretend to understand the bailout/rescue package, it’s way “above my paygrade”. Every expert has a different opinion, but I do understand McCain brought the Republicans to the table and they were then able to bring about some changes to make it a much better bill. Not perfect, but better. Now McCain and Obama are arriving on the scene to work on it in the Senate, and it will remain to be seen what happens from here.

I am struck that Democrats, and even some Republicans, are horrified at the thought of Sarah Palin being a heartbeat away from the presidency, but no problem with Nancy Pelosi being two heartbeats away. That ought to put fear through your heart! Can you imagine if we elect Obama/Biden, and the Democrats retain leadership in the House and Senate. I fear for our country. Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and Charlie Rangel are prime examples of leadership gone amuck! I’m not including Barack Obama because he has never been a leader of anything, unless you count his days at ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) as a lawyer and trainer.

Ken Blackwell writes September 29, 2008 in NRO, nationalreviewonline:
An ACORN Falls from the Tree
A congressional outrage.

“ACORN has often been in the news since 2004. Officially, they work to register voters and support housing. In reality, everyone in public life knows that they are hardcore supporters for the Democratic Party, and employ bare-knuckle tactics. Their organization is plagued by repeated investigations of voter fraud and other crimes.”

“In Ohio, where as secretary of state I oversaw elections for eight years, ACORN has been busy. One ACORN man in Reynoldsburg was indicted on two felony counts of voter fraud, and another was indicted in Columbus. Other such problems surfaced in Cuyahoga County, where criminal investigations are ongoing.”

“It’s not just Ohio. ACORN personnel are facing criminal charges in over a dozen states. In Washington State, for example, seven ACORN leaders had felony charges filed against them for voter fraud.”

“What deserves closer scrutiny is Barack Obama’s history with ACORN. Obama cites Saul Alinsky, a self-acknowledged radical who advocated extreme acts to achieve social goals, as one of his inspirations. ACORN follows the Saul Alinsky model. After Obama graduated from Harvard, he went to work for ACORN in Chicago. Mr. Obama then became a trainer for ACORN, teaching others how to employ ACORN tactics in voter registration drives.”

Then we learned in the Washington Times today that Pelosi paid her husband $99,000 from PAC funds for rent, utilities and accounting.

“House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has directed nearly $100,000 from her political action committee to her husband's real estate and investment firm over the past decade, a practice of paying a spouse with political donations that she supported banning last year."

“Financial Leasing Services Inc. (FLS), owned by Paul F. Pelosi, has received $99,000 in rent, utilities and accounting fees from the speaker's "PAC to the Future" over the PAC's nine-year history.”

How can it be that these people will lead our country?

ROUND ONE TO MCCAIN

McCain’s age has been a primary concern presented by the liberals and would appear to be one of his liabilities coming into the debate. It turned out to be a great strength. He was calm, reassuring, knowledgeable and presidential.

When discussing the economy, McCain pointed out that Obama had asked for $932 million in earmarks, “nearly a million dollars a day for every day that he’s been in the United States Senate”. Obama answered yes, the process has been abused, “which is why I suspended any requests for my home state, whether it was for senior centers or what have you, until we cleaned it up.” McCain pointed out that Obama suspended his requests for earmarks after he initiated his campaign for the presidency, but was fine with earmarks before his campaign began.
Obama thinks his big sell is that Bush/McCain are one and the same. When Obama tried his old line about how McCain voted with George W. Bush 90 percent of the time, McCain was ready with a list of issues where he has disagreed with Bush, like torture, conduct of the war in Iraq and federal spending and Guantanamo Bay.

McCain noted that Obama never held a hearing on Afghanistan, although Obama chairs the committee which has oversight of operations in Afghanistan. Obama downplayed that, indicating someone else handles that, and hoping no one would notice. Yet now he’s stating Afghanistan is the most important area of concern. If it’s so important, why didn’t he hold one hearing?

Obama admitted that McCain was right numerous times. At least once Obama seemed to have no idea what McCain was talking about, so he was smart enough to just agree rather than disagree and make a fool of himself.

McCain criticized Obama for saying he would meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad without precondition. "This is dangerous. It isn't just naive; it's dangerous." Obama believes that all tyrants or terrorists need is for someone to sit down and politely ask them to stop threatening to annihilate our allies. McCain’s experience and wisdom came through in stark contrast to Obama’s naivete.

McCain put Barack Obama on the defensive throughout the 90-minute session. Obama did little to ease voter concerns that he’s experienced enough to handle foreign and defense policy. I had the feeling Obama thought his smile would win the day and cover up his inexperience and poor judgment.

A former Hillary supporter now supporting McCain asked: Would you rather fly with a pilot who learned how to fly from reading a book, or with a pilot who had flown 101 times?

McCAIN's ACT OF LEADERSHIP

John McCain announced that he will suspend his campaign tomorrow morning to return to Washington to work on bipartisan efforts on the economic bailout. He urged his opponent Barack Obama to do the same. McCain also asked the Presidential Debate Commission to postpone Friday’s scheduled debate on foreign policy so that he can work on the financial crisis bailout plan now on Capitol Hill.

McCain also canceled a Wednesday afternoon taping of The Late Show With David Letterman show and a Thursday interview with FOX News.

McCain is once again putting his country first. He is returning to Washington to do the nation’s business. He put the country ahead of his own interests when he backed the surge of forces in Iraq, saying he'd rather lose an election than have his country lose a war. He did it when he refused early release from the Hanoi Hilton. He’s doing it now by suspending his campaign in order to take the lead in resolving the financial crisis.

Obama talks about reaching across the aisle, although it’s something he has almost never done. Even now, in the middle of a national crisis, Obama doesn’t seem willing to put aside his own ambitions for a few days to take leadership on a crucial bipartisan effort. Unbelievable as this seems, I heard Obama in his statement on this subject say today “If you need me, call me.” I’m guessing you won’t hear much about this in the press.

WHY DO THE LIBERALS HATE SARAH PALIN?

Can you imagine if someone hacked into Obama’s personal email? What an outrage! The media, the ACLU, and all the liberals would be in an uproar! We continue to hear about the Patriot Act violating our freedoms, even though no one has found any evidence of that being the case. Yet there is a deafening silence about the invasion of Sarah Palin’s privacy. She probably deserved it because she probably was conducting government business in her personal email. Never mind that there is no evidence of that.

Charlie Rangel’s comments “You got to be kind to the disabled”, referring to Palin, go largely unmentioned by the mainstream media. I guess Rangel is trying to get the subject off his unpaid taxes.

Clinton pulled out of the Israeli protest against Ahmadinejad, claiming she didn’t expect it to be a partisan event. Didn’t she think it would be partisan if it included her and not a prominent Republican? More likely Clinton didn’t want to share the spotlight. Or Clinton decided Palin posed a greater threat than nuclear weapons in the hands of Ahmadinejad.

Saturday Night Live has sunk to a new low, with the subject so disgusting and vile that I won’t repeat it here. Suffice it to say it was a horrendous attack on Palin’s husband. Can you imagine if it were directed to Michelle Obama? Saturday Night Live would likely be off the air permanently!

Ignorant celebrities making insane comments .. Matt Damon worried Palin thinks there were dinosaurs 4,000 years ago. Woody Allen spouting “It would be a disgrace and a humiliation if Barack Obama does not win”. Sandra Bernhard rant, too horrifying to quote. Rosie O’Donnell’s ridiculous remarks .. the list goes on ..

Then we have the Emmy Awards last night. A constant theme of disdain for McCain, Palin and Bush, with no mention of Obama, except to extol the virtues of community organizers.

Why do the liberals hate Sarah Palin? Why do they have to tear her down? What are they really afraid of? They claim she has no experience, yet seem to be unaware that she has far more experience than their idol, Obama. I’m guessing they are terrified of her. She is a threat to their cultural agenda. An affront to their values! A woman who didn’t have an abortion!!! We might notice that those who have claimed to be for women’s rights, are truly just for liberal women’s rights. They have to tear her down before she infects the rest of the country with her radical ideals. The only problem is, lots of us agree with Sarah Palin!

WHO WILL PUT OUR COUNTRY FIRST?

Once again Congress is leaving for vacation in the middle of a crisis. Lawmakers say they are unlikely to take action before or delay their planned adjournments, September 26 for the House of Representatives and a week later for the Senate. Probably one reason is that Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said yesterday “no one knows what to do'' at the moment.

Obama has the nerve to blame John McCain and the GOP for the current Wall Street crisis, when it’s clear none of it was due to Republican policies. Let’s consider the record.

The Center for Responsive Politics keeps track of which politicians get Fannie and Freddie political contributions. The top three U.S. senators getting big Fannie and Freddie political dollars were Democrats. At the top is Democratic Senator Chris Dodd, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. Barack Obama is No. 2!

Former CEOs Franklin Raines, ousted due to 6.3 billion dollar accounting scandal in 2004, and James Johnson are both former CEOs of Fannie Mae and current economic advisors for Senator Obama. Jim Johnson was head of the search committee to select Obama’s Vice President before he stepped down.

Democratic Congressman Barney Frank, head of the House Banking Committee, should have known what was happening. Instead of demanding responsible business practices from Fannie and Freddie, he continued to push for even more credit to "low income" families. The mortgage companies were happy to accommodate him and give big money to people with barely any collateral or prospect of paying the money back. Jamie Gorelick, an official in Clinton’s Justice Department, the woman who built the “wall” that prevented the FBI from targeting terrorists before 9/11, worked for Fannie Mae and took home $26 million.

McCain predicted the collapse we are now experiencing. On May 25, 2006, McCain spoke on behalf of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005 and warned of the consequences if it failed to pass. He told the Senate that a report by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight charged that “Fannie Mae employees deliberately and intentionally manipulated financial reports to hit earnings targets in order to trigger bonuses for senior executives.” McCain warned that if Congress didn’t act American taxpayers would continue to be exposed to the huge risk Fannie and Freddie pose to the housing market, the financial system and the whole economy.

Obama is busy blaming Bush and the GOP, as always. He doesn’t seem to remember that Bush wanted to tighten oversight with a new regulatory board for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and other government recipients for the express purpose of addressing bad loan practices, but Democrats blocked it.

As of today, the polls seem to indicate that Obama is getting his message through that it’s the Republicans fault. Of course, he fails to mention any of the history of this crisis. All he knows is that everything is the fault of Bush/McCain, as though they are the same person. As though he and the Democrats had no part in creating this crisis.

These are scary times. I’m not sure anyone knows what to do. I just wish our political leaders would put the country first. Who do YOU think will put our country first?

HOW DO YOU INTERPRET CHARLIE GIBSON?

What was Charlie Gibson trying to accomplish in his recent interview with Governor Palin?

“GIBSON: Do you agree with the Bush doctrine?

PALIN: In what respect, Charlie?

GIBSON: The Bush -- well, what do you -- what do you interpret it to be?

PALIN: His worldview?

GIBSON: No, the Bush doctrine, enunciated September 2002, before the Iraq war. "

Did you see his face? It spoke volumes. So full of contempt there could be no doubt of his desire to demean and humiliate her.

“GIBSON: The Bush doctrine, as I understand it, is that we have the right of anticipatory self-defense, that we have the right to a preemptive strike against any other country that we think is going to attack us. Do you agree with that -- the right to preemptive attack of a country that was planning an attack on America?”

“PALIN: Charlie, if there is legitimate and enough intelligence that tells us that a strike is imminent against American people, we have every right to defend our country. In fact, the president has the obligation, the duty to defend."

Well I sure hope anyone who wants to be our President, the Commander in Chief, would agree with that! Would take action against any country that was planning an attack on America!

Since that interview, the Democrats and mainstream press have been all over Palin’s slightest hesitancy in answering the question about the Bush Doctrine. So excited they caught her in a “Gotcha” moment! She’s ignorant! Doesn’t know what the Bush Doctrine is!

When Gibson asked about the “Bush Doctrine”, I wondered exactly what he was referring to. I have since learned there are at least four doctrines that are called "Bush Doctrine," which means that there is no "Bush Doctrine."

In an interview, Bush press secretary Dana Perino said that "the Bush doctrine is commonly used to describe key elements of the president's overall strategy for dealing with threats from terrorists." "The United States makes no distinction between those who commit acts of terror and those who support and harbor terrorists. . . . We will confront grave threats before they fully materialize and will fight the terrorists abroad so we don't have to face them at home. . . . We will counter the hateful ideology of the terrorist by promoting the hopeful alternative of human freedom." Bush, she added, "is comfortable with the way I just described it."

As reported in a recent Washington Post article: “Peter D. Feaver, who worked on the Bush national security strategy as a staff member on the National Security Council, said he has counted as many as seven distinct Bush doctrines. They include the president's second-term "freedom agenda"; the notion that states that harbor terrorists should be treated no differently than terrorists themselves; the willingness to use a "coalition of the willing" if the United Nations does not address threats; and the one Gibson was talking about -- the doctrine of preemptive war.

"If you were given a quiz, you might guess that one, because it's one that many people associate with the Bush doctrine," said Feaver, now a Duke University professor. "But in fact it's not the only one."

Don’t Gibson and the rest of the mainstream media feel like fools now!

I remember that Gibson was one of the network anchors who adoringly traipsed after Obama on his European tour. The same Gibson who was absent on any of McCain’s numerous trips to Iraq. Kind of makes you wonder ..

HIS RECORD SPEAKS FOR ITSELF!

I saw Abortion Survivor Gianna Jessen on Hannity and Colmes last night and was amazed at her story. This morning I visited her website, http://bornalivetruth.org/, some of which I share below with you:

“Can you imagine not giving babies their basic human rights, no matter how they entered our world? My name is Gianna Jessen, born 31 years ago after a failed abortion. I’m a survivor, as are many others…but if Barack Obama had his way, I wouldn’t be here.”

“Unfortunately, Barack Obama voted four times against affording these babies their most basic human right. I have serious concerns about Senator Obama’s record and views on this issue, given he voted against these protections four times as a state Senator. Just as abuse victims share their stories to educate the public, fight for the common good and hope that as a result politicians do what’s right, I felt it was important to come forward and give these new born babies a voice.”

“I am living proof these babies have a right to live, and I invite you to learn more about Senator Obama’s record on this important issue.” - Abortion Survivor Gianna Jessen

Recently I heard Jill Stanek being interviewed and her story is astonishing. She is a nurse who held a live baby for 45 minutes after an abortion. She found the baby alive in a soiled linen closet, left to die alone and untreated.

I urge you to visit Jill Stanek’s website. You can see for yourself then-state Senator Barack Obama's votes and state senate floor speeches on IL's Born Alive Infant Protection Act. http://www.jillstanek.com/archives/2008/02/links_to_barack.html

You will see links to bills Obama voted on which show that he was against calling the baby an infant, referred to the live baby as a fetus, and was against calling for a doctor for the fetus because that would threaten the mother's choice in Roe v. Wade. You will see he voted against an Illinois Born-Alive Infant Protection Act. In addition, he was the ONLY senator to vote against care for a baby born alive as the result of a botched abortion.

Now Obama states he is against partial birth abortion, but let's remember Obama’s response to Pastor Rick Warren’s question at the Saddleback Forum:

Pastor Rick Warren: "At what point does a baby get human rights, in your view?

"Barack Obama "...answering that question with specificity... uh... you know is, is... uh... above my pay grade."

If he can't answer that question, shouldn't he err on the side of life?

I understand there are differing views in our country about abortion. Current technology allows us to see ultrasounds of babies in the womb, sometimes kicking and thumb sucking. Have you seen them? Has Obama seen them? Where does he stand today? His record speaks for itself!

HAVE WE LEARNED THE LESSONS OF 9/11?

We just passed the anniversary of 9/11. On 9/12/01 I remember declaring that our lives would never be the same. Life as we knew it was over. Yet here we are, 7 years later, and my life is much the same as it was before that horrific attack. I am more cautious than before 9/11/01, but I still walk on the beach, play in the park with my kids, play with the dog in my yard, go to work and shopping, all without looking over my shoulder.

I am convinced that the leadership, judgment, courage, tenacity and fortitude of President Bush have kept us from being attacked on our soil since that terrible day. Because of him we have made tremendous progress toward decimating Al Qaeda. Some of his policies have been controversial. There is still a lot of work to be done and it will take years to accomplish, but he has prevented the enemy from striking us again. For that he should have our unending gratitude. But no, he is practically stoned! He has been called the most vile, hateful names imaginable. Compared to Hitler. Hated more than Ahmadinejad! History will judge President Bush, but I believe he will be viewed more kindly by History than by those he has kept safe. How sad ..

We have many problems. The economy is scary, and that seems to be the biggest focus today. However, have we forgotten that there is an enemy engaged in a holy war against us. They have declared war on us. Many times they have told us what their intentions are, and how they plan to carry them out. Yet we are not allowed to call them what they really are: radical Islamic terrorists. If we are dead, how much will we care about the economy?

I hope and pray Americans will have the judgment and discernment to elect leaders who understand our enemy and have the strength and courage to do what is right to keep us safe.

WORDS, JUST WORDS!

I gave Obama the benefit of the doubt when I heard him refer to “his Muslim faith” when being interviewed by George Stephanopoulos . He just misspoke. Anyone can misspeak. But when I thought about it later I tried to remember when I had last referred to “my Muslim faith” or “my Buddhist faith” or “my Hindu faith”. I couldn’t think of any time I had mentioned my faith referring to anything but my true faith. Can you?

I hesitate to mention the lipstick on a pig comment everyone is talking and blogging about. Again I’ll try to give Obama the benefit of the doubt. But why did he hesitate in the middle of the punch line, with hand to forehead, as though he was trying to decide whether to finish the sentence. If it was not an attack on Palin, why the hesitation? Once his adoring audience started clapping and cheering when they understood what he was about to say, why did he finish the comment about the pig? I don't know ..

And then there is the referral to 57 states. What’s that about? How many of us think there are 57 states?

Now the rest of the world wants Obama to be elected. Can it be they are tired of the US being the greatest super power in the world? Can it be they think if Obama is President of the United States we will be weakened? Ok, they are probably right about that.

I’m tired of hearing from the left about everything that’s wrong with the US. I’m shocked to hear how many people are not proud of our country. Meanwhile, when there’s a crisis or a need anywhere in the world, who steps in? The USA!

Last night Obama’s press secretary, Bill Burton, called McCain’s honor into question, responding to a new McCain ad regarding Obama’s one accomplishment, legislation to teach ‘comprehensive sex education’ to kindergartners: “It is shameful and downright perverse for the McCain campaign to use a bill that was written to protect young children from sexual predators as a recycled and discredited political attack against a father of two young girls – a position that his friend Mitt Romney also holds. Last week, John McCain told Time magazine he couldn't define what honor was. Now we know why."

30 lawyers are on their way to Alaska to investigate Sarah Palin.

South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate " whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”

What happened to Obama’s message of Hope and Change? Words, Just Words!

SOARING RHETORIC vs. TRUE GRIT!

The left wing bloggers are going crazy. I have never seen or heard such vile, hateful, ignorant comments in my life. The mainstream media is stunned, shown to all but those who choose not to see, for the bias most of us have long recognized. The media has had over a year to vet Barack Obama. They chose to ignore his long-time “friendships” with Reverend Wright, Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko, and his total lack of experience. The minute John McCain announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, the press was all over her with disgusting displays that go well beyond liberal bias. What they did not foresee was how their lies and contempt backfired, big time! I give them much credit for the huge audience she had for her spectacular acceptance speech Wednesday night! With off-the-chart ratings I might add! It could not be missed that her substantive executive experience, laughed at by the mainstream media, blew away the non-experience of Obama. Governor of a huge state! Commander of the Alaska National Guard! Chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission! Mayor of a small town! Community Organizer! Senator for one year before embarking on his presidential campaign! Shall I go on .. ?

Wouldn’t you love to see an Obama/Palin debate? A real debate, not pre-written scripts with amazing oratory. Especially one covering decision-making! Can’t you see Obama hemming and hawing, thinking, pondering, wavering, dodging and weaving to every question requiring a decision, while Palin is decisive and ready for action!

Obama on O’Reilly still can’t admit he was wrong about the surge. He finally said “the surge has succeeded in ways nobody anticipated ..” Well that’s not totally true. McCAIN DID ANTICIPATE IT!

Republicans and many Independents understand we are fighting a war against people who hate us, who have been planning, and are planning today, the terrible things they will do to us. Are Democrats planning to fight the people who hate us? Have they supported the Patriot Act, which has been instrumental in protecting us from unspeakable harm? No.

Are Democrats intent on causing further division in our country? I think these comments from Biden speak for themselves. “If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation, they will be pursued,” Biden said during a campaign stop in Florida on Monday, ABC News reported. “Not out of vengeance, not out of retribution. Out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president — no one is above the law.” This is how they plan to spend their time.

Many are complaining about McCain’s speech, but I liked it. It reminded me of the difference between flash and substance. McCain will never have the soaring rhetoric of Obama, but Obama will never have the “true grit” of McCain.

SARAH PALIN - THE REAL REFORMER

Did you see Obama and Biden being interviewed the day after the Big Extravaganza .. minus the makeup and fireworks! Biden looked like he was about to cry and Obama stammered and said Palin was “the same”. The same! Governor Palin is about as far as you can be from Washington and has a record of accomplishment that Sen. Obama cannot match. Gov. Palin has spent her time in office shaking up government in Alaska and achieving results. Palin has taken on corruption, passed ethics reform, stopped wasteful spending and the `bridge to nowhere’. Obama has spent most of his time in the Senate running for President. Palin has been in elected office for over 10 years with executive experience as a Governor, Mayor, head of the Alaska National Guard, and head of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.

The Democrats are asking how we can have an individual with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the Presidency, meanwhile neglecting to mention that their candidate also has zero foreign policy experience and is running for the TOP of the ticket, NOT EVEN a heartbeat away! Obama talks about “yes we can” and “change”, yet Sarah Palin is the one who has brought about change and reform. She has shown what it means to be a true reformer.

As head of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, Palin exposed ethical violations by the state GOP chairman, also a fellow commissioner. She is an ardent advocate for more drilling — off Alaska, off the Atlantic and Pacific coasts and in the off-limits Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. She pushed for more competition for the construction of a $26 billion pipeline to bring natural gas from the North Slope to the lower 48 states by favoring the TransCanada pipeline project, backed by independent companies over one proposed by BP and ConocoPhillips. She has tangled with Exxon Mobil and other oil companies over their reluctance to develop gas fields on state land.

“As governor, I've stood up to the old politics as usual, to the special interests, to the lobbyists, the big oil companies, and the good-old-boy network,'' she said at a rally yesterday in Dayton, Ohio, where she was introduced by McCain.

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is now running with McCain as his choice to be vice-president. She is a tax-cutting, pro-drilling, environmentalist, gun defending, pro-life mother of five with a son in the Army about to be deployed to Iraq. "She's exactly who this country needs to help me fight the same old Washington politics,'' McCain said.

Obama said that change doesn't come "from Washington, it comes TO Washington”. Strange that both Obama and Biden, are “from Washington”. Sarah Palin is coming “TO Washington” and is a breath of fresh air!

WILL YOU WATCH?

I wish I could bear to watch Michelle Obama tonight tell us how proud she is of her country. I just can’t watch. I know she will extol the virtues of her husband, as well she should, but I don’t believe a word she will say, so I just can’t listen. I’m not that strong. I’m not that naïve. I wonder what she’ll say now, after she wrote a letter in 2004 denouncing a federal law banning partial-birth abortion, writing that "this ban on a legitimate medical procedure is clearly unconstitutional”. The Supreme Court later found that law constitutional. Tonight she’ll have a big smile on her face. Not her usual scowl. Everything will be glorious. I just can’t watch.

IS THIS THE CHANGE YOU WERE HOPING FOR?

I anxiously awaited the news about who would be Obama’s choice for Veep, might it still be Hillary? Why would Obama pick the candidate who got 9,000 votes in the primary, vs. the candidate who received 18 million votes in the primary? Now we know. It’s not Hillary! It is Joe Biden, a lifetime member of the Washington establishment. Obama made this selection to try to compensate for his own weakness on foreign and national security policy, especially after his bungled comments on the Russia/Georgia events which he changed every day as he realized that he didn’t know what he was talking about. Biden also was selected to gives us the reassurance that Obama is not so far out of America’s mainstream. Maybe we’ll forget about Reverend Wright, Bill Ayers, and Tony Rezko.

Obama’s answer to most every question is to tell us about his wonderful judgment, exemplified in the fact that he never voted for the war with Iraq. (Meanwhile he wasn’t in the Senate yet and didn’t have the opportunity to vote on the war.) He would probably have voted “Present” anyway rather than take a real stand. Does he remember that Joe Biden did vote for the war with Iraq? Does he think that means that Joe Biden has poor judgment, but chose him to be his running mate anyway for political reasons?

Is this the change you were hoping for?

WHAT'S FAIR ABOUT THE "FAIRNESS DOCTRINE"?

What’s fair about the so-called “Fairness Doctrine”? Nancy Pelosi and her legion want to silence conservative talk radio because they know they can’t compete. Democrats, led by Nancy Pelosi, have the audacity to consider it “fair” to call for government censorship to curtail free speech in their desire to have 100% control of ALL media. If it were fair, Liberals and Conservatives would have equal time on the main stream media, the network news, the major newspapers, and the universities, instead of being almost totally biased in FAVOR OF LIBERALS. Fortunately the Media Research Action Team (MRC) delivered more than 192,000 petitions to Congress before Nancy Pelosi turned out the lights and left town for a five-week paid vacation, paid by US taxpayers. Please stand with me and keep watch for news about the Fairness Doctrine, sign petitions, and call your representatives when they finally return from their vacation. If Barack Obama is President, and the Congress and Executive Branch are totally controlled by Democrats, say hello to the “Fairness Doctrine” and goodbye to free speech!

WHAT HAPPENED TO "ANYWHERE, ANY TIME"?

“If John McCain wants to meet me anywhere any time to have a debate about our respective policies in Iraq, Iran, the Middle East or around the world, that is a conversation I am happy to have…” In May, when a McCain adviser proposed a series of pre-convention appearances at town hall meetings, Obama said, “I think that’s a great idea.” Now that John McCain has challenged Obama to ten town hall meetings around the country, Obama is singing a different tune! Oh sorry .. Obama did suggest a town hall meeting July 4 at 9pm! Obama’s people want Lincoln-Douglas type debates where each candidate speaks for a specified time. Why do you think Obama changed his mind about the free-flowing town hall format? Could it be Obama and his people know Obama would fall flat on his face without soaring rhetoric in a pre-scripted speech?

WAKE UP AMERICA

We have a choice between two very different candidates. One is a man of integrity, character, honor and patriotism. One who will put love of his country before his own life. John McCain has shown courage most of us can never imagine. The other is an unknown, both inexperienced and untested. What we are learning about Barack Obama gets more frightening every day. Can our beloved country afford someone who doesn’t understand the nature of our enemies? Someone who one day thinks Iran is a tiny country which doesn’t pose a threat to us, and two days later remembers that he has always said Iran is a grave threat. Someone who changes his mind every day after he learns what he should have said the day before.

Wake up America .. don’t let our beautiful country be taken over by the far left. It’s up to each of us to be informed and make our voices heard!
